About NOW Foods

Richard Elwood founded NOW Foods in 1968. He was well qualified, being a chemist whose father had run a health food store and developed the United State’s first protein supplement. A scientist first and foremost he was always an advocate for natural products and started the NNFA (NPA) Standards Committee.

NOW has always strived to provide good value in order to make health-promoting products available to all.
